Devonian Exploration Services Limited is an independent geochemical consultancy set up by Chris Burgess. Our aim is to provide high quality geochemical interpretation and integration with supporting geological data.

An honours degree in Geology and MSc in Petroleum Geochemistry (both University of Newcastle upon Tyne) provides Chris with a sound academic background.

A five year period at Geolab has given Chris invaluable experience in the techniques used in a modern service laboratory and the quality control of generated data.

After leaving Geolab, Chris spent almost 9 years working as the senior geochemist for IGI Limited. During this time a wealth of experience was gained in the broader context of petroleum exploration and the integration of geochemical data with regional geology to reduce the risks associated with petroleum exploration.
